The following note just arrived from Russ Hanson's wife Margo:
"On Thursday morning him, ( Russ and a couple
of friends) were fixing the roof on the sawmill and Russ was on the 5 foot ladder and fell off around 11:00 am.
911
was called and they took him to St. Croix Fall for X-rays and said that he needed surgery. Russ said he would want to have
surgery at Rochester, so they took him to St. Marys in Rochester. He broke it in 3 places and had to have pins put in for
now and maybe next week have a couple plates put in. No weight on that leg for 3 to 4 mouths. He should be coming home next
week sometime."
